Merida Starting Meet and Greets Tomorrow

Thanks to Kenny the Pirate for breaking the story, Merida from Disney's new movie Brave will start appearing tomorrow in front of Fairytale Castle tomorrow, May 11. Her new home inside Fairytale Gardens is rumored to be opening on May 18, 2012. That is also the opening day for Star Wars weekend in Hollywood Studios. 

I can not wait to see how they will transform the Fairytale Gardens into Merida's Scottish home away from home. I believe she will be meeting alone and intermediately between the dates of May 11-17. 

To find her head over to the area to the right of the front of Cinderella's Castle look for the entrance right before the bathrooms on your way to the tea cups and raceway. 

I expect long waits as well as somewhat shorter waits for Rapunzel. Use this to your advantage. Also main characters who have their own "spot" normally start coming out for meet and greets between 9am-10am. Keep this in mind for Extra Magic Hours.

Here is an art concept of the new meet and greet area. Although I just saw pictures around Fairytale Garden on another blog that showed a lot of Tangled themeing in and around it still in place. So hopefully this location will open as planned. Rapunzel left her home to move to her temporary home almost a month ago.
